Overview
The design team spanned over 100 professionals across Europe, India, and APAC. With varied experience levels and practices, there was no central source of truth for how design was done internally. I spearheaded the creation of an internal playbook to provide structure, documentation, and consistency in experience design delivery.

The Challenge
Lack of shared design language and internal terminology Inconsistent practices across domains and geographies New designers struggled with onboarding and alignment No easy way to access guidance, best practices, or design methodology Existing documentation was scattered and underused
The Solution
I designed a 3-phase rollout plan starting with research and MVP development: Conducted quantitative surveys and stakeholder interviews to identify gaps Analyzed industry-leading playbooks and internal resources Defined the purpose, tone, and content structure of the XD Playbook 1.0 Built a scalable MVP in PowerPoint & Figma format and hosted it on SharePoint Developed a rollout campaign with community ambassadors and walkthroughs Designed a feedback and iteration cycle using quarterly surveys and reviews We ensured activation by partnering with leadership, embedding the playbook into design onboarding, and running a roadshow across domains.
The Result
XD Playbook 1.0 was successfully launched and embedded within the design org Used as a critical onboarding tool for new hires and contractors Activated through leadership support, workshops, and internal events Increased consistency and speed in design delivery Future iterations (Playbook 2.0) planned to integrate with design systems and SharePoint CMS
